Happy Monday!

>> Monday, October 3, 2011

Hope you all had a great weekend. My kids had Thursday and Friday off, so it was really nice to just hang out, do daytrips around our town, and cook and eat a lot.

You probably noticed some changes in our blog during the summer. We strayed a bit from our more scheduled blog posts to give all the team members more flexibility in a time when a lot of families are traveling. But starting now, we are going back to our regular schedule. That means once a week, we'll have our Focus On feature back, we'll have days showcasing layouts, another for cards and altered items, yet another for a step-by-step look at how our team members create their projects. We will also bring back our challenges (complete with prizes, of course) every other week on Wednesdays.

On top of that, we'll mix in some Studio Visits, Lily Bee News, Guest Designers, and our favorite Friday Finds, when we highlight your Lily Bee projects.

Later this month, we are going to be having a Blog Hop with one of our favorite manufacturers. We'll have some hints along the way.

We want your opinion too. Do you have anything you'd like to see us feature? More of something? Less of something? We'd love to hear from you. Let us know what you think, and to thank you, we'll draw a name to receive some Lily Bee goodies. Please leave us a comment by this Wednesday, October 5th at 9PM PT.

Before I go, I wanted to share this super cute canvas created by our team member Katja Schneider. She altered Lily Bee paper with stamps, bling, ink, glitter, paint. Love the result!

I think you should briong challenges back. Personally, when there were challenges, I really used to scrap with one - your- company products, mostly. Without them, I scrap for other companies or mix all of them together.. And it's challenging.

I think you're doing great! I'm looking forward to the normal schedule and I'm positive it will be great. So I'm sorry, no ideas from me, since I'm 100% happy!

I agree... I love doing blog hops and challenges! Those would be my top 2 picks!

Aubrey G October 3, 2011 at 10:03 AM

I'm new to your brand and your blog, I just bought my first Lily Bee collection last week. What I'd like to see are step by step tutorials, especially for decor projects.

Kristin October 3, 2011 at 10:10 AM

I would love to see more giveaway opportunities and scrapping challenges. I find it is easier when a goal is in mind

ShoppingTamii October 3, 2011 at 10:52 AM

Another vote for challenges ;)

Suz October 3, 2011 at 11:19 AM

I'm excited about getting more inspiration on the blog. I've loved your products from the beginning.... It's great to see you continue to grow and evolve. I think challenge with giveaway would inspire creativity and give incentive for new customers to make that first LB purchase to enter (they will be hooked lol) for a chance to win more goodies

SusanD October 3, 2011 at 11:19 AM

I wish you made digi items!

Audrey Yeager October 3, 2011 at 11:41 AM

I love challenges because they get me to use up my stash!! Can't wait until they start up again!

Leah October 3, 2011 at 1:36 PM

challenges and how to's :)

Ann October 3, 2011 at 1:40 PM

I would love to see you showcase a project made by your designers, and have them do a giveaway by leaving a comment. ( Basicly, what you are doing with this post.) I love to see samples made with your products, and don't have time for blog hops. They just take so much time. Thanks for the chance to win. nathansmom7@gmail.com

I just found out about your site from Lain Ehmann's RT. But I love your products and just ordered some from 2 Peas. Personally, I always appreciate tutorials and challenges as they usually inspire me to try something new.

Nikki October 4, 2011 at 10:10 AM

I love challenges. Gets me back into "scappin" mode.

Jill Rucker October 4, 2011 at 12:39 PM

What about a Design on a Dime theme? This could include projects, cards, layouts all made from one set of paper. This theme could also incorporate using scraps to make and enhance layouts, cards, and projects. Just a thought...Keep up the great work!

I love what you're doing! I'd love to see more 12x12 patterned paper that isn't broken into smaller cards. I love them, but I also love my 12x12! Thanks and keep it up!!

Misty October 4, 2011 at 4:53 PM

I always enjoy posts with home decor items, even simple decorated frames inspire me. Guests are always fun especially my favorite designers like kelly goree, kristina werner, betsy veldman, michelle phillips I could go on and on. Thanks for wanting our feedback!

Melinda AKA medialady October 4, 2011 at 8:41 PM

I love see layouts since most of my crafting time is used for scrapbooking.

April October 4, 2011 at 9:51 PM

I'm a video girl and absolutely love watching people create things. Sometimes seeing the actual process they go through can be very inspiring! So, I'd love to see some of that if possible. :)

I am definitely a fan of the challenges and I would love to see more of the other blog reader's projects.

Linh C. October 5, 2011 at 10:37 AM

I like blog hops as it introduces me to new designers' blogs. However, the long blog hops are too difficult to keep up with especially if you have only minutes here and there to visit each blog and can't remember if you've been there or not.

I like easy altered projects. Guest designers are good. I also like the start-to-finish types of posts because I get to see the designer's thought process. Thanks!

Connie Mercer October 5, 2011 at 7:20 PM

love looking at the inspiration you get from others but a good challenge is good too!!!

Staci October 5, 2011 at 7:22 PM

Jingle October 5, 2011 at 7:22 PM

Add my vote for challenges! I <3 them, almost as much as I <3 Lily Bee.

angie gutshall October 5, 2011 at 7:33 PM

I really love your challenges. I also like seeing the dt's do a challenge and how they all do it differently.

Anonymous,  October 5, 2011 at 7:33 PM

some challenges would be great..including a card challenge..love your blog though..and gorgeous products! :)

A Little Time October 5, 2011 at 7:34 PM

Gosh, I don't know. I love every thing you have. Your collections are always the perfect size and you don't have a kajillion embellishments that I have to buy. You're perfect as far as I'm concerned. :)

Rhea Skomorowski,  October 5, 2011 at 7:49 PM
