A Little Bliss

>> Tuesday, December 28, 2010

We've been enjoying being home for the holidays this year. All the holiday preparations this year have had me thinking about how much I love our home and how much I love being able to stay at home caring for my family. The Domestic Bliss line is perfect for creating projects about all things heart and home.

I love all the prints and colors in this line and cutting strips of the papers makes it easy to include lots of color and pattern.

The Lily Bee rub-ons are wonderful to design with and they can be used on so many surfaces. For this project, I've created my own embellishment by applying a rub-on onto a clear acrylic piece. It's a Tim Holtz Fragment and the dimension and shine really emphasizes the rub-on on the page.

Maya Road makes some super sweet embellishments and I've incorporated a few of their trinket pins. I love how the little kraft tickets and house bingo motif support the Domestic Bliss theme.

Be inspired to create layouts about things that mean a lot to you. Scrapbooking doesn't always have to be about people or events.

Happy creating,
