Scrapbooking from the Inside Out - Win A Kit! - Comments closed

>> Friday, July 9, 2010

***Edited to add - The winner has been posted on this link. ****

It's Friday Faves day and we are excited to share another amazing kit club with you, Scrapbooking from the Inside Out.

Each month, Scrapbooking from the Inside Out’s kits are based on an emotion, covering everything from freedom and gratitude to loss and safety.

This month the kit was based on the emotion "courage" and here is what they have to say about it:

These kits help you explore every side of yourself - your inner struggles and triumphs, your relationships, and your goals and dreams. Not only does each kit use color, design and symbolism to help you tell a deeper story, but our industry-exclusive FREE Inspiration Page each month provides you with a multimedia support system - including meaningful journaling prompts, a music playlist, quotes, photos and evocative challenges to make your tender heart and creative mind and hands flow.

What does the word COURAGE mean to you? Is it a waving flag, bungee jumping, or quietly facing your darkest fears? We’ll be exploring all this and more this month with our newest kit, COURAGE.

Inspired by the bright ‘Hello Sunshine’ line from Lily Bee, this kit is filled with spirit, confidence and spunk.

You are brave, smart and ready for your future. Come and create it with us and the COURAGE kit!

Take a look at what their team did with the kit:

Amy Oxford

Arlene Camacho

Aymee Gandy

Cristal (Pinky) Hobbs

Diana Kennedy

Felecia Krech

Melissa Elsner

Nancy Doren

Shaina Longstreet

If you’d like to win your very own COURAGE kit, leave a comment here about what gives you courage. We will pick a winner with the random generator. You have until Friday the 16th to comment.

The more layouts I see inspired by this kit club, the more inspired I am to try to think about what makes me who I am! My family gives me courage! Thanks for a chance to win a kit from a very inspiring group!!! :-)

SHAMALAMADINGDONG! I adore this kit! Jaw dropping Stunning! When I think of courage I think of my young niece the only child of my youngest brother who does not understand why her daddy has to go away to serve in the war and risk his life to protect our own. I believe that every child whose parent is a in a position of service, be it military, fire dept, police dept etc..shows unbelieveable unspoken courage and should be acknowleged!

Becky Garrison July 9, 2010 at 1:57 PM

What gives me courage? Two things - first my faith in God! He has always seem me through hard times and I know He always will. Second is my husband. He is my champion and encourager, and he lets me be me and I love him for it!

Thanks, Becky G.

My courage comes from within - when I don't feel it I just stop, take a deep breath, and remember that unless I try I will not succeed.

Cynthia Baldwin July 9, 2010 at 2:26 PM

I'm a scaredy cat at heart. Really. I don't like to try a lot of new things. I watch and observe, very cautious before I try something. And I've never liked to be the center of attention because of my fear of failure.
What's given me more courage to TRY?
First off: my husband. In the 15+ years we've been together, he's gotten me to experience life. I've learned how to swim, how to ride a bike (nope, never learned how to as a child), and how to waterski (OK, honestly?...still working on that one). And I'm not just talking athletic stuff. He supports me and gives me strength emotionally - more than he'll ever know.
And then there are my kids. How can I say "You can do it!" "Just try it, you'll like it!" - if I don't try things out myself??
My family has taught me courage. Every. Single. Day.

And - I just have to say...Cristal. Wow.
Thanks!!

My courage comes from the promise that God has given us that all things are possible with him. I know that as a single mother I couldn't face the trials and tribulations that life offers me without him to guide me and for me to lean on when I fail.

Very cool! MY husband gives me courage. He supports me 100% in everything I do so I have no fear in facing whatever I need to. :)

for example: i used to think that if one of them tried to eat a spider (as a baby), i'd let them, b/c i am totally arachnophobic. however, i actually screamed and flicked the spider away and then sucked it up with the vacuum! :D

CarlaKH July 10, 2010 at 9:46 AM

Courage comes to me when I am caught off guard by the sight of something that makes me realize how blessed I am... whether it be a homeless person on the street corner, reading the news of a tragedy local or global, and sometimes when another struggle appears in my life... If pause to think.. a tiny bit of courage almost always creeps in.

Courage-comes from within the soul. Facing each day and what comes my way-with an upbeat attitude. Not giving in to a sour attitude. A smile to all that comes onto my path. kh

Sassy July 10, 2010 at 7:22 PM

Courage comes from my dear husband. He is always supportive of all I do.

Jacki July 10, 2010 at 7:36 PM

Sometimes courage is just simply putting one foot in front of the other and moving forward. It has been easy to numb up and keep everything inside. Putting a scrapbook page together on a feeling, that is courage!!!

Michele July 10, 2010 at 8:22 PM

Courage is my son Cole. He is an awesome baseball player but for the last few years has been with a team where the coaches yell mean comments at the players. His batting average sank and he was sitting the bench. Well thankfully he had enough about a month ago and found the courage to quit. While I don't advocate quitting anything, this was the right decision. He wanted to play on this team because this is where his friends played. It was hard to encourage him game after game. Well right before he quit, he tried out for a tournament team and made it. His pitching is awesome, he's batting clean-up and plays 3rd base when he's not pitching. Just today (7/10), he hit a 2 run homer over a 200 ft fence! To get up from the dirt of this other team to being a star within a week's time on the new team is out of this world courageous. Kudo's to my son Cole - he rocks!

D July 10, 2010 at 8:41 PM

My children give me courage. They look to me for guidance in the world, what the right thing to do is. It might not always be easy but I need to do it so that they can grow into the most wonderful people they can be.
