Documenting The Boy

>> Tuesday, September 20, 2011

It seems to have been quite sometime since I've created a layout of my son. He's 4.5 years older than his sister and ever since she has become a part of our lives, I have been obsessed creating memories of her through the lens and on paper. I want to make sure I am documenting as much of her young life as I possible. However, that puts me behind on keeping up with my sons life as he is growing up way too fast for me to keep up. I have plenty of layouts documenting his first four years, but not enough documenting his current years.

So, I am dedicating this blog post to my boy, Tyler, by documenting memories I capture through the lens and onto paper. Here are some layouts I've created using Harvest Market, Memorandum and a splash of Jingle.

Kids amaze me with their imagination and it is almost daily that my son creates sheets of paper tracks for his cars. There are lots of "vroom" sounds going on while his cars are racing. This is something that goes on for hours. Who says you need a real toy track to have fun.

Lots of hand journaling and a very simple page. The journaling basically talks about how much he has changed over the years and how he makes me so proud to be his mama.

I love looking through all my older photos of my kids, seeing how much they have grown brings back a chuck full of memories. It's amazing how time flies by and your little ones grow up before you know it.
