Lily Bee + Petaloo: Day 5
>> Friday, May 13, 2011
Yeah! Blogger is back up and running. Sorry about the delay. Yesterday's post (day 4) is lost somewhere in Bloggerland, but they are promising to put it back up complete with the comments. So don't worry if you commented yesterday, we'll hopefully have it back soon.
This is our last day blog hopping with Petaloo! We've had some serious fun. If you haven't been by Petaloo's blog, do so. Their projects are amazing! Just gorgeous!
For today, we have the talented Kim Arnold to thank for this fab layout. So sweet!
1. Mount three 2x3 inch photos in a strip on kraft cardstock and decoratively punch along the bottom edge. Tie string around bottom under photos and finish with a button.
2. Cut 3 different size rectangles of patterned paper and layer onto text printed paper.
3. Attach photo strip and phrase sticker with foam tape.
4. Create clusters of flowers at bottom left of photo strip and around phrase sticker.
5. Attach butterfly above phrase sticker.
6. Attach title and subtitle.
7. Create a banner in top left corner. Trace around edges of banner stickers with light brown pen and finish with pearls at each end of banner.

Please leave us a comment to win some Petaloo goodies! Because of the blog problems we've had, we are going to leave the comments section for both today's post and yesterday's post (when we get it back!) open until Sunday night, 9PM PDT. We'll be back then to post the two winners. So please check back!
Thank you so very much for making this blog hop a huge success. We hope you've enjoyed it! If you could do us a favor, would you please let us know, in your comments, if you'd like to see us do more blog hops with other manufacturers? And which ones would like to see Lily Bee mix with?
Have a fab weekend!

this is absolutely gorgeous!!! I love the colors and the flowers are the perfect touch
The blocks of patterned paper are so well-complimented by those fabulous clusters of flowers. Wonderful layout! :)

Love the banner and the border punch! Uh, yeah, I'd lov to see more swaps! maybe you and Prima or really anyway. Your papers are a delight!
Fabulous layout, Kim! So elegant, and the Petaloo butterfly is a perfect finishing touch.
Sure, I'd love to see you do more hops w/ other manufacturers. This week proved how well Lily Bee can play with others. How about a ribbon or twine mfr.? Or cardstock? I would imagine several brands' jumping at the chance to work with Lily Bee. :)
I meant anyone not anyway...
sooooo pretty!
Beautiful layout! I really enjoyed the blog hop this week, so I'd love to see more! Any companies would be wonderful. :)
LOVE the purple and green together! Beautiful LO!
A stunning layout!! I just love the colours in this collection!!
Gorgeous!! Just love the colors. Wonderful photos! Thank you for a chance to win.
Gorgeous layout!!!! Would love to see more swaps. Thanks for the chance!
They work so well together. Lovely layout!
I love hopping as long as the list is not like 20 hops. The two blogs were great and lots of inspiration to be had from them and not overwhelming at the same time. I would love to see you work with Provo Craft's Cricut cartridges, maybe a company with border punches or a company with trims and ribbons like May Arts or Maya Road. :)
Love this sweet LO!
I love the layout today! I love the added kraft paper with the beautiful punched border and the butterfly looks fabulous! Your picket fence papers are so lovely. The colors are just perfect.
I have loved seeing your layouts and cards paired with Petaloo flowers, I really think it was a good match. I don't know who else would be a good match but here are some other companies that I love that might work...Maya Road, Tattered Angels, Prima, Technique Tuesday (I love stamping and I was trying to think of a stamp co. that would be a good fit), Divine Twine, My Favorite Things (they have some wonderful die-cuts, that would be a great addition to layouts and cards, look at all of the rolled flower dies). Or what if you paired up with an online retailer like I heart Papers?
I really like the format you chose. I would much rather comment on your blog than have to open up 15 other blogs to see and comment on, it becomes so much work and very time consuming. So, this was great. Thank you for sharing. All of your designers were awesome!
Thanks, Katie
Kim, you did a beautiful job on this layout! so pretty - Picket Fence goes so great with so many petaloo items, love that yellow butterfly.
Love all the layers and those beautiful colors!
Wonderful lo, Kim!
I think blog hop with my fave, such as Crate Paper, Echo Park and October Afternoon, would be fun!
Beautiful composition! Love all the pretty little touches and the lilac, teal & lime work well together :)
Ooh, your layout is gorgeous! I love the soft and delicate feel to it and all the pretty details.
so beautiful !
love this layout, love the turquoise.
Those butterflies look like they were made to go with the Lily Bee papers - gorgeous!
I would love to see more blog hops with additional manufacturers. It really helps show how products can be combined. Maybe die cuts, stamps, inks, cardstock?
The colors on your layout are fabulous!
